Every time I see this shoe I get a lump in my throat. I think
to myself, "I own that". I have the Marcelle in the red
patent, black, and brown. My husband and I took our babies on
a college tour back east and I wore the brown ones with
gauchos. I looked so cute. These are kind of like baby doll
shoes or Bratz doll shoes and I love them. They are kind of an
acquired taste and you must wear them with the right pants,
but when you do they are SO ADORABLE. People love the red
patent ones. They are so shiny. Of course, most importantly,
they are super comfortable. The toe box is wide, the heel
slips like Danskos are supposed to. I can walk for miles. I
wear a 9 so I ALWAYS order a 40. Adorable - I have always been
a fan of the Professional clog and still am...but these fit
just like the Professional and are a little more feminine...I
have tried many of the other Dansko styles but the heels are
never as comfortable as the Professional clog and my new great
discovery the Marcelle which has the same style heel as the
clog...if you love the clogs like me you will love these too.
Heel fit - I own other Danskos and love them all. This one is
stylish, but it surprised me how wide the heel area was. It
was so wide that it really felt like a clog style. The design
must be intentional to mimic the Dansko clog style. I own some
Dansko dressier heel style shoes and they fit around the back
of my feet like regular dress shoes.
