Dansko Marcelle - It is my 3rd pair of Dansko clogs and I
continue to love them. Great fit, great look! I have had lots
of compliments. My only question would be the correlation
between the European sizing scale and the American sizing. I
wear a 9 in American sizing and a 40 in European sizing. I
think your suggestion was a 39. Since I already had 2 pairs of
Dansko clogs, I felt comfortable in ordering a 40. So sad to
say but I'm going to have to return these. I love Dankso but
they have a problem of inconsistency when it comes to size 12.
Technically I'm an 11 1/2 but I usually have to size up to 12
so I was disappointed to find that my toes bumped against the
front of the shoe a bit. The same problem occurred with the
Dansko Jade, however my (now discontinued) pair of Floras were
PERFECT! Otherwise I would recommend the Marcelle. The
cordovan cabrio color, style and arch support are great. I
would just say that women in the 11 to 12 range should be a
bit wary.
My most favorite shoe! I love these shoes and wear them with
both jeans and khaki's. They are very comfortable (more-so
than the Dansko Professional), and my feet do not hurt after
wearing them for nine or more hours. Overall, a great shoe and
worth the money!
